Information on the facilities: The Vineyard Camp and Conference Center
The Vineyard covers over 300 forested acres on Brown Mountain and has almost a half-mile of frontage on a beautiful stream. Those entering The Vineyard gates become immediately aware that The Vineyard is a special place. Old logging trails wind around the mountain property Ancient Indian burial mounds dot the hilltops. Waterfalls, springs, and streams abound in the valleys and native flowers and wildlife are abundant.
The Vineyard athletic and skill sites have been carefully created in such a way as not to compromise the natural beauty of Brown Mountain. Electrical, phone, and P.A. wires are under ground, and all new construction has been designed to be aesthetically pleasing and compatible with the unparalleled wonder of the forest.

From Atlanta and Charlotte, take Interstate 85 north to US 52. Travel north on US 52. Exit at the Pilot Mountain/Elkin exit and travel east on highway 268 through the small village of Pilot Mountain (1.5 miles).
Highway 268 will dead end after you drive through the town (one light). At the dead end, turn right and continue on 268 East for about one mile. Turn left just past the Shell station onto (again) 268 East.
Continue on 268 East for about three (3) miles until you reach a fork in the road; take the left fork (Pilot Westfield Road), and continue till the dead end (2.2 miles). Turn right onto Brown Mountain Road and travel 3.8 miles to Route 66.
If traveling from Asheville, take I-40 E and I-77 N to W Main St/Old U.S. 52 S in Pilot. Take exit 135 from US-52 S. Continue on Old U.S. 52 S. Take NC-268 E, Pilot-Westfield Road and Brown Mountain Rd to Vineyard Rd in Quaker Gap
